Monthly Meetings

FSC holds meetings on the first Thursday of every month.
It is a chance to visit with friends and make some new ones too. Also, it is a great opportunity to hear about upcoming trips and activities to get involved in.

You could also win some money! At every meeting, we hold a 50-50 drawing, with the tickets being sold only at the meeting (buy as many or as few as you want); winner gets 50% of the proceeds.

Except for special events (see below), the regular meetings are held at:
Chef Lin Buffet Restaurant
As of May 1^st 2008, and until further notice:
Edo Japanese Cuisine Restaurant (same building that was Rick's Chinatown) at 190 Thomas Johnson Drive (directions), which is right next to the new BB&T bank, which is just past Antique Station. A full bar is available, and you can order off the menu (no buffet) if you wish.
Social/Dinner Hour: 7-8 PM
Meeting: 8-9 PM (may run beyond 9)

Special Event Meetings

July – Picnic at a park: Thursday, July 10th, 2008
in Staley Park (click for map), which is across Motter Ave from North Frederick Elementary. We have reserved the pavilion closest to 12th St. See the map (link above) for a full diagram of the location of the pavilion, and parking.

The Pot Luck dinner will start at 6:30pm, with the meeting beginning at 8pm. For those of you who have never attended this event, we ask that everyone bring a dish to share and something for themselves for the grill. This is an excellent opportunity to meet members in a more relaxed atmosphere. The ski club will provide beverages, charcoal, plates, and silverware (actually, plasticware).
There is a playground for children.
