Your participation is what makes all the time and effort worth doing, and
adds fun for all that attend. Your not being there means we don't have as much fun.
There will be sign up sheets for each activity at the monthly meeting.
This will both commit you to join and give the coordinator an idea who and how many will attend.

and enjoying good company? Meet at the Information Booth by the Armory. (Bentz & 2nd)
There is usually plenty of parking. We’ll stroll through Frederick, over to Hood, and wind
down the path through Baker park with a stop at the Coffee Company and then head back to
the Armory. Plan to meet at 6:00.
Bring some change for coffee!

Details:
Our annual weekend (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) of Summer fun! Camping will be in
a reserved (but not exclusive) group area near the water's edge, by a small strip of beach.
There is electricity available nearby. Bathrooms/showers are a short walk away.
Cabins are available for extra cost; if interested, contact the campground directly.
For those with a boat or PWC (jet-ski), by all means, bring it along! The
more, the merrier! There is a small fee for launching ($8 per item launched).
The campground has overnight docking/tie-up space (included in launch fee). If you have
an RV/camper and want water & electric hookup, that's an extra $31.
RSVP is required, and mention if bringing boat/PWC.

NOTE: This is a dual-club combined event that is being offered by both the
Washington Ski Club (SCWDC) and Frederick.
You've hear us all talking about it, and you can ask anyone who's been there.
This is the Summer trip of the year, with non-stop entertainment and music.
If the sun, surf, beaches, and volleyball are your thing, we've got it!
If you want to participate in a half-marathon, it's right there!
If happy hour on the rooftop, dancing, and big name live music do it for you, we've got
that too. You can have it all!
Join us for the 8th annual SCWDC/FSC Virginia Beach Labor Day Weekend trip.
Celebrate the annual American Music Festival in Virginia Beach over Labor Day weekend!
Among this year's bands will be: The B-52s, Billy Idol, Starship, Los Lobos, Eddie Money.
Check the Beach Street USA web site (link below) for the complete lineup,
to be announced in late June.
The trip includes:
- bus transportation from Falls Church, VA
- refreshments on the bus
- 3 nights lodging at the Flagship Motel at Atlantic & 6th St.
(the 5th St stage is the main music venue)
- boardwalk pass, to see all the live entertainment
- SCWDC/FSC happy hour every evening at the hotel
Price (per person):
Standard room: $375 (for SCWDC & FSC members; non-members add $20)
Efficiency: $390 (for SCWDC & FSC members; non-members add $20)

Join us at Ocean City on September 19-21 because
it’s time to have fun in the Sand, the Surf and the Sunshine!!!!
There’s lots to do or just relax and have fun.
This is the same weekend as SunFest, Ocean City’s largest festival.
Our club's annual trip to Ocean City is sure to once again be a great time for all.
Swimming, sun bathing, perusing the many craft displays on the boardwalk, dining, dancing,
and enjoying the nightlife are a few of the many attractions.
Lodging is again the Princess Royale, on the ocean at 91st Street.
Since it was such a hit last year, we will again enjoy the sunset over dinner Friday night
at Fager's Island. On Saturday we'll hold a wine and cheese get together in one of our rooms
early in the evening, before folks head off for dinner and nightlife.
Rooms & rates: $187.80 per night ($375.60 total) for Ocean View or $209.90 per night
($419.80 total) for Ocean Front based on double occupancy. There's a two night minimum stay and
each additional person in the room is $15.00. Children under 12 stay free in their parent's room.
All the rooms have 2 queens, 2 double, or one king-size bed as well as a queen sleeper sofa in
the living room and an ocean view or ocean front balcony.
Deposits ($100 pp.) required by Aug 7 for this fun-filled
weekend trip to OC, because
space & room types ARE limited.
