Off The Slopes
Your participation is what makes all the time and effort worth doing, and
adds fun for all that attend. Your not being there means we don't have as much fun.
There will be sign up sheets for each activity at the monthly meeting.
This will both commit you to join and give the coordinator an idea who and how many will attend.
If you haven't joined the FSC Email Group, please go to the 'Yahoo! Group' page
for instructions on joining, so that you can receive announcements of events/activities.

Details:
Our annual weekend (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) of Summer fun! Camping will be in
a reserved (but not exclusive) group area near the water's edge, by a small strip of beach.
There is electricity available nearby. Bathrooms/showers are a short walk away.
Cabins are available for extra cost; if interested, contact the campground directly.
For those with a boat or PWC (jet-ski), by all means, bring it along! The
more, the merrier! There is a small fee for launching ($8 per item launched).
The campground has overnight docking/tie-up space (included in launch fee). If you have
an RV/camper and want water & electric hookup, that's an extra $31.
RSVP is required, and mention if bringing boat/PWC.

Join us at Ocean City on September 25-27 because
it’s time to have fun in the Sand, the Surf and the Sunshine!!!!
There’s lots to do or just relax and have fun.
This is the same weekend as SunFest, Ocean City’s largest festival.
Our club's annual trip to Ocean City is sure to once again be a great time for all.
Swimming, sun bathing, perusing the many craft displays on the boardwalk, dining, dancing,
and enjoying the nightlife are a few of the many attractions.
Lodging is again the Princess Royale, on the ocean at 91st Street.
Last year it was quite chilly on the deck at Fager's Island, so the Friday night
outing location is yet to be decided.
On Saturday we'll hold a gathering (details TBD) in one of our rooms
early in the evening, before folks head off for dinner and nightlife.
Rooms & rates: $176.74 per night ($353.48 total) for Ocean View or $220.94 per night
($441.88 total) for Ocean Front based on double occupancy. There's a two night minimum stay
and each additional person in the room is $15.00. Children under 12 stay free in their
parent's room.
All the rooms have 2 queens, 2 double, or one king-size bed as well as a queen sleeper sofa
in the living room and an ocean view or ocean front balcony.
NOTE: new reservation procedure:
We have an open block with the hotel this year. That means
members call the hotel (410-524-7777), say they are with the
Frederick Ski Club and, based on availability, receive the above-quoted rates.
Rooms are not reserved for us in advance of individual reservations, so get your
reservation in early.
Please let me know when you've made your reservation so I can keep track of who is going.
